In a world where people are constantly looking for validation and approval, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of fame.
Fame is a fickle thing, however. It can be there one minute and gone the next. And even when we have it, it’s never enough. We’re always chasing after the next big thing, the next level of success. But what does any of this really matter if we don’t have God in our lives?
God should be our number one priority. He is the only constant in our lives and the only one who truly knows us. When we put our trust in Him, He will never let us down. So instead of chasing after fame, let’s chase after God. Let these bible verses put things into perspective:
Hebrews 13:5 NIV
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
1 John 2:15-16 NIV
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
