10 Encouraging Bible Verses About Acceptance with the Lord

When talking about acceptance with the Lord, the first thing that comes to mind is the acceptance of Jesus as our personal savior. When we accept Him into our lives, we are forgiven for our sins and given eternal life. This is the ultimate act of acceptance by God.

However, there is more to acceptance with the Lord than just being saved. We are also to accept Him as our guide, our provider and our protector. We should accept His will for our lives and submit to Him completely. This can be a difficult thing to do, but it is through this type of submission that we can find true peace and happiness.

If you are at a certain point in your life where you feel you are alone and misunderstood, we hope these 10 bible verses can give you comfort that no matter what happens, God is always with you to support you even when nobody else does.

1 Samuel 16:7 NIV

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

People easily judge someone else based on appearances. We treat others unfairly depending on our perception of them. Unlike us, God doesn’t look at external appearances. The Lord doesn’t care about someone’s facial features, their weight, their height. He only cares about a person’s heart. It shows that God is willing to forgive anyone no matter what they have done.

Romans 15:7 NIV

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

We should not view anyone as beneath us or unworthy of our time and attention. Instead, we should accept people for who they are and treat them with the same kindness. When we accept others, even those who are different from us, we are bringing glory to God. We are recognizing that He is the one who created all people and that He loves us all equally. It’s also an acknowledgment that we need each other, that we can accomplish more together than we can alone.

John 6:37 NIV

All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

The verse means that anyone who comes to Jesus will be saved, no matter what their past may have been like. This is a powerful promise from Jesus that speaks to both His sovereignty and His love. God the Father chooses those who will come to Jesus, and Jesus Himself guarantees that no one who comes to Him will be turned away. This assurance is a comfort to all who come to the Lord in faith. No one is too good or too bad for God. Everyone is welcome in His kingdom.

John 1:12 NIV

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

This verse is talking about how when we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are given the right to become children of God. This means that we are adopted into God’s family and receive all of the benefits that come with being a child of God. We are given eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and a place in Heaven when we die. Being a child of God is a very special privilege, and it is something that we should be very thankful for.

Romans 10:10 NIV

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

In this verse, Paul, who was an apostle of Jesus Christ, talks about how anyone can be saved. He says that if we believe and declare that Jesus is Lord, we will be saved. This verse is often quoted by Christians who are trying to share the gospel with others. It shows that salvation is available to everyone, regardless of their background or sins. It also shows that faith in Jesus Christ is the key to being saved.

Ephesians 1:3-6 NIV

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

It is a beautiful description of how much God loves us. These verses talk about the grace and love of God that have been poured out on us through Jesus Christ. This love is undeserved and unmerited. It is a gift from God that we cannot earn or deserve because He accepts us wholeheartedly without judgment despite our sins and mistakes.

Galatians 3:28 NIV

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

This means that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is equal in the eyes of God. There is no difference between people based on their race, social status, or gender. All are equal in the eyes of God because they are all sinners saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We must always promote equality and diversity rather than hate and division.

Acts 15:8 NIV

God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.

This passage tells us about a dispute that had arisen among some believers in Jerusalem. Some people were arguing that Gentiles needed to be circumcised in order to be saved, while others disagreed. Peter steps up and delivers a powerful speech, explaining that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not by following the law. This passage is significant because it shows us that the gospel is for everyone. It doesn’t matter what race or nationality you are— if you believe in Jesus Christ, you are saved.

Romans 10:13 NIV

For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

This passage is about salvation. It’s saying that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. When we are going through a tough time, we should remember that God is always with us, offering a hand whenever we need someone to depend on. He desires to save everyone, so He will answer anyone who asks Him for help. He will never leave or forsake us, and He will assist us in greater ways than what we’ve anticipated.

James 2:1-4 NIV

My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

James is teaching his readers that it is important to not show favoritism. Favoritism can cause division in the church and can lead to people being treated unfairly. God chose the poor to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom of heaven. This shows that God values faith more than wealth.
