God Does Not Call The Equipped, But He Equips The Called – Exodus 4:10

The question for us today is not could you, but would you? I heard it said that God does not call the equipped, but He equips the called!

One day I was driving in my car, and I felt the Lord put upon my heart to go and pray for someone. At that time I felt very insecure and quite inept to pray out loud for a person.

I said, “Lord I do not think I can do that!” Immediately I felt the Lord answer back, “I didn’t ask you if you could, I asked you if you would!” Needless to say I was obedient as I always try to do what my Heavenly Dad asks.

You see, I think sometimes we miss the point. When we are challenged to do something for the Kingdom of God. We naturally look at our flaws and shortcomings.

But when we do that, we put God out of the equation. He spoke to my heart one time, “When you are willing, I will make you able!”

Moses, in the Bible, was shown to allow God to use him to do great exploits. Yet looking at the scriptures, we can see he had some issues.

Exodus 4:10 Then Moses said to the LORD, “Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

He may have stuttered, or had a lisp. We really do not know for sure, but we know God used him mightily to save a nation. Do not use the word “just” to define you!

Peter was just a fisherman. David was just a little freckle faced shepherd boy. Joseph was just the youngest in his family. Esther was just a young girl. Matthew was just a tax collector. Mary was just a peasant girl. Jesus was just a carpenter’s son.

Never let limitations affect your potential to be used by God!
