To Know More of God Is To Dig Into the Scriptures

“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Jeremiah 31:33-34

It was from the very start that the Lord promised to plant His words into His people. We live a blessed generation today because the very words of God from the beginning to the resurrection of Christ, and to the formation of Christ’s body, the church until the revelation of what came and is to come, all of it are reachable in our hands which is the Bible. We thank God for miraculously preserving His words and for using people to write them down for our reference today. But more than just a basis of what took place, what God commanded, what the early church practiced, the scripture, the very words of God have power.

It has a power that opens our eyes and see who God is, His very character, His sovereignty and Him being a Father. It has a power to strike our souls and reveals our very heart that leads us to repentance, understanding the wisdom and the heart of God. It has a power to change our perspective, the course of our lives, our desires and guide us in the path we take.

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Indeed, the word of God is alive and active, it is powerful! It has a wonderful connection and mysterious revelation. If we truly want to know about God, to understand His sovereignty and to know His will, come and open the scriptures, journey in the word and let the Lord reveal to you the rest.
