How To Fix A Broken Heart? – Raising Zion

THE LORD DOES HEAR THE CRY OF A HEART THAT’S BROKEN!!

Yes, it’s true indeed!!❤️

My dear loving friend, is there something that has been bothering you for quite sometime?

Hold on!! I have good news for you. There is a patient listener and a friend whom I know, who will not only hear you out but will also help you get out of that situation. He’s been an awesome friend to me, hence the assertiveness!! His name is Jesus. You can tell your complaints to Him. Just call out and He’ll be right there 👍

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.Psalms‬ ‭34:6

Here’s a story that happened a few centuries back in history – from the Scriptures itself.

Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s (friend of David) son, was a handicap. He was crippled in both feet and needed another person’s help to go about his daily activity. He lived in the house of one Machir, in Lodebar. After King David ascended the throne, he remembered his dear friend Jonathan and felt the need to show kindness to his household; this was on account of his love towards Jonathan. 2 Samuel 9:3-7. By the way I have to tell you this — Prior to becoming a king, David and Jonathan were best friends forever😊

Now coming back to the story: King David enquired and came to know about Mephibosheth and was brought into the palace. As soon as Mephibosheth saw the king, instead of being proud that his dad was the majesty’s friend and walk with his head held high, he fell on his face, did obeisance and gladly conveyed his state of affairs to the king. He humbly asked the king — …What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am? 2 Samuel‬ ‭9:8. David answered him by asking him to sit at the king’s table and have meals with David – always. How beautiful is that!! 💕

Of course David had decided to honour his friend. But had not Mephibosheth humbled himself and presented his state to David, maybe the story would have been different. Therefore dear friend, whatever your troubles maybe, we have a friend in Christ to help you out the situation and restore peace in you.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-15

Be blessed 💕
