Genesis 3 vs 24

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

  1. In Genesis 2:7, God started a relationship with man.
  2. He created man and gave him a beautiful garden to live in.
  3. In Gen 2:18, He made man more comfortable by creating a helpmeet and friend for a man.
  4. In Gen 3:8, we also learnt that God visits man occasionally to talk to them because the Bible says they heard his voice.
  5. But when God saw that his friendship with Adam and Eve yielded disobedience, He broke it with them.
  6. In Gen 3:24, the Bible says God drove them out of his presence.
  7. So, when God was happy with man, he created a beautiful garden for them and came to have fellowship with them.
  8. So, he drove them out of the garden when the relationship was breeding disobedience.
  9. In life, do not be afraid to break unfruitful relationships.
  10. If there is any friend that is not useful in your life, you need to break the relationship.
  11. If there is any sin you are struggling with drives, you need to drive the sin out of your life.
  12. Do not be tied to unfaithful relationships.
