“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” –Ephesians 6:18.
Here are five encouraging prayers you can save for the moments when you will need them: Prayer for Strength, Prayer for Help, Prayer for Healing, Prayer for Protection, Prayer for Forgiveness.
PRAYER FOR STRENGTH
Dear God, Sometimes it’s hard to do anything, even get up. I confess that I try to handle things on my own too much, and because of that, I end up with greater disappointment and despair. But my true strength comes from You alone. You are the source of strength, hope, life and miracles. Help me to first surrender myself, open my heart and allow You to intervene in every area of my life. Then I will find renewed strength. In Jesus name, Amen.
PRAYER FOR HELP
Dear God, I want to stop pretending everything is OK. I am not OK with my relationships with others. I am not OK with my job and my situation. I am NOT ok with where my life is right now! The truth is, I am in desperate need of Your intervention. Please help me Lord. I am weak and faint, and I don’t really know where to begin… But something tells me that I should begin with God. So I come to You Father, with a broken yet open heart. Please work in me. Fill me with Your grace, hope love and power. In Jesus name we prayed. Amen.
PRAYER FOR HEALING
Father, I am utterly broken spiritually and physically. I am suffering and in pain, and there is no one my soul finds rest in. Only You are my Lord and Healer, and I cry out to my Creator for help. First, help me restore my relationship with You, and repent of my sins, for healing begins here. Heal me from the inside out. Heal my sickness and deliver me from this unbearable pain. Please have mercy on me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
PRAYER FOR PROTECTION
Dear God, please protect me and the ones i love today, both spiritually and physically. Guide our footsteps and show us the way, just as You guided Your people with a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). Deliver us from every evil and temptation. I confess that You are my everlasting Father and Redeemer. Thank you for your unconditional love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS
Heavenly Father, forgive me for having a small heart. I need to be occasionally reminded of how much You first loved and forgave me. You canceled a heavy debt that I could have never paid and freed my soul. Now it sings melodies of joy. As I have received Your mercy freely, let me learn to forgive others unconditionally. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
