Life isn’t fair, this we know. And it would be quite unfair to expect it to be, knowing that God told us that we would face troubles in our lives. Yes, there will always be trouble along the way. Some days, staying strong can be so exhausting that giving up seems like the easiest option. However, what you must always remember is that God also assured us of victory, and He never stopped reminding us to ask strength from Him. If you feel that life is too hard for you right now, write these verses down to encourage you every day.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
On those days when being strong feels impossible, remember that God is with you. Don’t be afraid of uncertainty. Don’t be anxious about what’s to come. When you trust in the Lord with all your heart, you know that God will never leave you and neglect you. He will not let you suffer alone. He will hold your hand all the way through.
John 14:26-27
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Do you know why you feel so troubled and tired when you face problems? It’s simply because you don’t have peace in your heart and in your mind. The wicked world zaps out the peace inside you, which is why you have to rely on God to give you the peace you need. In the verse above, God said that you must not let your heart be troubled because He will give you peace. More than that, He will give you the Holy Spirit to help you. Pray for that.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
We are all sinners, so much so that we can sometimes feel it is easier to sin than to live a righteous life. But what we don’t often realize is how the world affects us in our daily lives. The stress, the hardships, the uncertainties are all taking a toll on our hearts and minds. This is why we must not lose heart and focus. Despite all the negative things we can feel, God is the only way out. He will renew your strength every day as long as you believe this and seek Him out as your refuge and helper.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
There are two types of people who faces hardships. There are those who just give up because they’re tired. The others take hardships as a test that they must pass. God doesn’t want you to be the first type, and instead, He wants you to be a fighter because He will arm you with everything you need to overcome every challenge in life. Remember, God doesn’t give you anything you can’t handle. So instead of simply taking problems negatively, see the good things about them. The days that you’re weak are the very days that will make you stronger too.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Last but not least, don’t forget this verse from Isaiah. This is a very straightforward verse about what to do when you’re too tired with life. God said that you must not be afraid and dismayed. Our Lord will always strengthen and help you. If things get too tough, always remember God’s promise. That should give you reassurance that God is always there for you.
Isn’t it amazing how the Bible holds the most meaningful words that help us overcome the many challenges we face? Every time I feel down, I look for my favorite verses and pray. This makes me feel a whole lot better. When your heart is so heavy, the only way to make it light is to lift up your pain and worries to the Lord. If you have faith, you’ll know that God always listens and will help. That should give you enough peace of mind already.
