Bonding with the beauty of Christ within
You know those support groups, where you attend meetings and stand up and say, “Hello. My name is Nina and I am a …”
Regarding my former self, I can attest to the fact that I was a ugly duckling. But, Oh that Jesus! He made a swan out of me!
Now mind you, I still don’t look in the mirror and say, “ Well, hello gorgeous!”
But that is not to say that God has not done some creative work on the inside of me.
For a greater part of my life I believed I was hopelessly flawed.
I know I am not alone. There are many of God’s glorious masterpieces walking around the planet, disguised as losers.
God’s Word describes us as, “Fearfully and wonderfully made.”
He lovingly “created mankind in his own image.” In the Song of Songs, God’s Word says “You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.”
Solomon of Proverbs writes of God’s creations, “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.”
These are true testimonies of the way God feels about His children.
As Joyce Meyer says, “I’m not where I want to be. But thank God I’m not where I used to be!”
Yes, we are all a work in progress.
But as God is within us, we can all be encouraged knowing He views us as His workmanship, His pride and joy.
So let us go about our lives, doing His will, and make our Daddy proud!
