Psalm 22

Psalms 22:5 KJV - They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they
  1. In Psalm 22 vs 2 & 5, we learned that David and the Israelites often cry to God in prayer and God delivered them.
  2. Sometimes, our prayer requests may not arrest the attention of heaven until we cry to God in prayers.
  3. Even as human beings, we may not answer some request until the seeker cries to us in desperation.
  4. A few months ago, one of my subordinates in the office sought my approval for a credit facility for a personal need.
  5. For 3 weeks, she kept demanding my approval and I was hesitant. I did not make up my mind either to approve it or not.
  6. But, on a particular day, she broke down in tears because her request had not been granted.
  7. She was weeping like David; her tears touched me and immediately granted her request that had been pending for 3 weeks.
  8. If you want to draw the hands of God, cry to him, he will not ignore you if you are his child.
  9. A Yoruba proverb in Nigeria says ‘’Abiyamo kin gbo ekun omo e ko ma tati were’’ meaning ‘’A mother will not hear the cry of her child and ignore it’’.
  10. If you are God’s child, he will surely answer you.
