Exodus 14:15-18 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. 17 I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. 18 The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.”
The people of Israel fear Pharaoh and all his army. But with God’s foreknowledge and plan, no people can go against God’s people, God will definitely lead Israel to the promised land. And God will also train to remove the unbelief of the people of Israel, and people will see the glory of God finally. The people of Israel did not know this world, so they complained in the face of crisis.
The crisis in the Red Sea was not for Moses, he had faith in God, it was for the people of Israel. Moses grandly announced the word of God. God asked Moses to go forward and separate the sea. And the water were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.
The Egyptians pursued them, but the water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen – the entire army of Pharaoh that has followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived. When the Israelites saw the great power of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.
God chose us and gave us a rod, which is God’s words. We can find the answer for every question through God’s words. We need to go in the direction led by God and don’t stop. Don’t complain, because we already have amazing authority to change the situation.
God’s people are not just like sheep, but should govern this land with love and truth. Don’t forget who you are. Trust God, He is with us, even when we can not see the way, we need to believe He has prepared the way. He will fight for us and save us. Fear the Lord, not the world.
