The Lord provides!
As Abraham declared echoed in a place where he almost sacrificed his beloved son, Isaac. As Abraham followed the command of the Lord, painful he must’ve felt to offer his son, the Lord provided a ram instead. What a relief it was for Abraham, as he exclaimed and declared that the Lord provides!
“So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” Genesis 22:14
We have accounted a lot testimonies, miracles and stories of the Lord’s provision. From feeding the birds in the skies (Matt. 6:26-27), to feeding Elijah with food through a raven, to giving the Israelites water in the middle of the wilderness, sending messengers to teach and rebuke, up to feeding the five thousand crowd through Christ and until the Messiah’s victorious resurrection as the ultimate sacrifice that He provided for the atonement of our sins, sins of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Indeed, the Lord provides!
Take a look at around you and realized how much God have provided us, in some cases, even beyond our needs. It is only our lack of contentment that blocked us from seeing the goodness of God through His provision. May we notice these things and be grateful to the Lord, may His goodness translates into love in us through showing generosity to others from His provision to ours.
Today’s daily bread encourages all of us that we trust a God that truly provides, our Jehovah Jireh. May His presence and love satisfy us all the days of our lives, and may we find true joy knowing that we are God’s children, co-heirs of the kingdom.
