The same good and great God that split the Red Seas, that still the Sun is with us today, His steadfast love endures forever and His faithfulness is for all generations. (Pslam 100:5). In today’s daily bread, we look at bridging two generations and how important it is to proclaim the goodness of God. For the generation ahead of us, God commanded them to tell the good works of God to the next generation.
“Tell your children about it, and let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation.” Joel 1:3
We accounted in history, when the Israelites have forgotten to speak about the goodness of God to the generation that followed, they ended up lost and have not acknowledged God in their lives causing them to give in to the culture and beliefs of other nations that eventually brought destruction and confusion to them. However, God as a faithful Father, He sent people to point them back to the Lord.
To the generation of the now and those ahead, let us be reminded to tell the younger ones of how good and great God is, even in our personal lives. Even if we have wandered away from the days of our youth, God has been good that He delivered us and caught us in the middle of being lost to found.
To the younger generation of today, entrust your future to the Lord. The world may not get any better, values are distorted, and confusing the youth arises, instead of giving in, rather, desire to honor God in all your ways. Trust the Lord to protect and preserve your innocence and let the Lord alone fill you with the real joy and cover you with His peace, that you may be an example to even those ahead of you and those who are next to you.
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
To all of us, God’s children, may we find the strength and the joy to proclaim that God is good and is always be, no matter what the season! For He is faithful, look back and realize it and look forward with hope that we trust and great good Yahweh.
