Luke 10 vs 42

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

1. Jesus visited two sisters, Martha and Mary.
2. Martha was busy preparing food and drinks for Jesus and his disciples.
3. But Mary was much more interested in the word of God coming out from the mouth of Jesus.
4. Martha complained to Jesus about not getting Mary’s assistance preparing and serving the food and drink.
5. Jesus responded that eating spiritual food is better than preparing physical food.
6. The lesson from this story is that we should prioritise hearing the spiritual word over worldly pleasure.
