“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” PSALM 119:105
In this world we find so many wisdom. For some, it is the wisdom of men that they lean on. But little did they know of how limited the human understanding is. Some of our very own wisdom isn’t even trustworthy enough that sounds right in the beginning yet at the end leads to destruction.
However, the Lord is so good and loving that His words were made available to us. If we look at it deeply, the scripture is a gift to us. On top of its historical facts, poems, prophecies, over-all, it gives us the wisdom as we move on in our day-to-day life – in our relationships, decisions, faith and even knowing the Lord our God deeply as we scan through it.
The prophet Isiah wrote about the farmer whom God teaches in Isiah 28:26 that says, “For He instructs him in right judgment His God teaches him.”
Indeed, the Lord is the very source of our wisdom. More than just trusting our own finite human understanding, the ways of the Lord remains far better than any other, it is the source of life, it is the kind of wisdom that fills one’s void. It is so precious that one seem to be found a treasure when he/she understands the word of God.
Today, seek wisdom in the Lord through the scripture. It is His gift to us, and it is also He who will help us understand it. Love the scripture, for it the lamp unto our oath as we walk into a world where darkness are on the sides.
