Morning Sounds

Christianity

“Can I go outside after I fix my attitude?” ~~Annabelle, 2

The clock is ticking.

The birds are chirping.

The coffee is brewing.

A new day dawns.

It’s good to be home.

As the morning sounds chime,

I am faced with a decision.

How will I spend the next 24 hours?

This day.  This moment.

Though my activities might even be pre-determined,

my attitude is not.

Will I clothe myself in kindness, or

will I wear the ugly garb of selfishness?

I can choose to serve those placed in my path,

or can I spend my time yearning to be served.

Will I be a giver…

or will I be a taker?

I am reminded of my Savior.

His example.

And I have determined in my heart to

serve

with

kindness

and

humility.

“But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.”  Mark 10:43-45
