In the course of human life’s cycle, we experience the height of joy – milestones, relationships and miraculous moments. While on the other side, is the low of sorrow, losses and sin. It is in this side that we lose track of the joy that was once planted by God in us. In the lows of life, we hear the voice of accusations, such as, we are being punished, we are not loved, we are condemned, and all other indictment that we inject in ourselves, thus, draw away from God, brought about by these accusations, pain, shame and guilt.
We ask, am I still worthy to face God? Are my prayers heard? Where Is God in this pain?
The answer, He is with you. When all these questions cloud us, it is hard to see God in our situation, but the truth is, He never left and will always be. In fact, it is in these moments where we all the more draw closer to God, who offers mercy and sanctifies us with His grace, who will hear you and grant forgiveness and the power to overcome every sin, who will heal you from the pain and fill you with His love.
Indeed, Paul was right in his letter to the Romans, saying:
“ For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Nothing is greater than the power of God’s love. He will never leave us, nor forsake us, He granted us His mercy and grace through Christ so that in our journey of sanctification where there days we fall, we will have the strength to get back, grow in Christlikeness through God’s love that none shall ever take away from us. Whatever you are experiencing right now, know that the Lord is on your side.
