Praying Scripture— New Beginnings

Scripture

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

1 Peter 1:3— NIV

And

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

2 Corinthians 5:17— NIV

And

“And I will give them one heart [a new heart], and put a new spirit within them. I will take from them the heart of stone, and will give them a heart of flesh [that is responsive to My touch].”

Ezekiel 11:19— AMP

Pray

Dear Father, when my heart is stony, please replace it. Don’t let me become bitter and hard. Break me down in repentance and give me a supernatural heart transplant. Thank You for calling me to new adventures! I confess that sometimes new things scare me. But I trust Your hand. Go before and behind me. I want Your will to be done in this place. Thank You for second chances and abundant grace. I pray for those I love who may not have a relationship with You. Open their eyes to their need. Pursue them into a relationship with You.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
