So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun.
- The Bible says everyone in the household of Abimelech was barren because he took over Sarah, Abraham’s wife.
- The Bible also says that when Abraham prayed to God, God healed Abimelech and every one of his household members from barrenness.
- This was after Abimelech realised his mistakes and sought repentance from God.
- The lesson here is that God forgives any time you confess your sin.
- Another lesson is that it is good for people to intercede for you. Abraham intercedes for Abimelech.
- When you are looking for intercessors, look for those that are righteous to God.
- Another lesson is that God answers prayer. When Abraham prayed to God, God answered.
