Genesis 3 vs 14

And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; on your belly shall
  1. A preacher said God is the first person to issue a blessing in the Bible and the first to issue a curse.
  2. In Genesis 1:8, God issues the first blessing on man. In Genesis 3:14, God issues the first curse on man.
  3. If God is happy with you and you obey him, God will bless you.
  4. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, God cursed them and their generation.
  5. He also curses Cain after he murders his brother.
