And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
- After Cain murdered his brother, God cursed him and declared him a fugitive and vagabond all over the earth.
- However, Cain pleaded for mercy even though he had blood in his hand.
- Cain pleaded for his life because he was afraid he would be identified and killed for the murder he committed.
- Immediately, God answered Cain’s prayer and put a mark on him so that others would not murder him.
- If God could pardon a murderer who asked for mercy, there is no sin you have committed that God can not pardon you if you repent.
- If God pardon a murderer, you should also be willing to pardon anyone who offends you, no matter how griefy the offence is.
