If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! Luke 11:13
Continuing our daily bread reflection on the Lord Holy Spirit, today, we look at the goodness and generosity of our Abba, Father, who gives us the Spirit that empowers us and lead us to towards His heart. Jesus Christ, accounted in one of His teachings, encouraged us that if earthly fathers, whom some are even evil, knows how to give good gifts to their children, how much more this good and loving Father, who desires to give us the Spirit to become His children and coheirs of the kingdom.
The Lord outpoured His love for us in fulfilling His promise to redeem humanity in Jesus Christ, which also fulfilled one of His promises that He will dwell in us, no longer will we need to go to a specific place to worship Him, but with the Spirit, He dwells in us, and we are now His temple that brings lights to those who are in darkness. Today, may you be encouraged to ask a loving, Heavenly Father, through Christ, to dwell in you, be renewed in Spirit, for God longs to fellowship with you, by giving you the Holy Spirit. Ask and receive, be revived and live again with the Holy Spirit.
