Augustine of Hippo once said, “To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him is the greatest adventure; to find him is the greatest human achievement.”
As we fall in love with God, the more we understand His very heart. The more we realize how gracious, kind and tender He is. We realized that it all boils down to His love towards all His creation. And as we seek God, the Lord leads us to adventures that changes our perspectives and our way of life. We now slowly find meaning in existence, we start to overcome seeking earthly glory, the very things we go after before becomes smaller until it fades, as we begin to find satisfaction in the Lord. Lastly, to find Him is as though finding our refuge that becomes our strength and the reason of our joy.
When we come to the point of starting to seek God, His very character, His righteousness, His purposes and will, is indeed the greatest achievement. It gives us a pure joy that is incomparable that sustains us to wait on the Lord with gladness and on hope.
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Chronicles 16:10-11
Let us be encouraged to not stop seeking God in everyday of our lives while we can, let the seeking of Him satisfy our souls, let our adventures with Him be a resting place for our spirits. Let Him fill our empty cups and overflow with holy joy.
