“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?“ Psalm 8:3-4
In the next few days of our Daily Bread, we will focus on unboxing God in our thoughts. Today, we reflect on God being the God of the Universe, the creator of all these beautiful things existing.
Recently, NASA released photos from Webb Telescope’s unseen and actual images of some parts of the universe. A lot of us are fascinated by how complex and magnificent they are. God crafted all these with His hands (Genesis 1:1) which reminds us of how vast God’s creation is. The universe remains immeasurable, and we are tiny creatures walking in this planet that orbits around, creatures that are also created and loved by Him.
Indeed, what is man that God is mindful of? We are a speck in the universe, but God cares so much that He knows us personally and called us to be His children to entrust our lives to Him. Take a deep thought about it, that we trust an all-powerful, magnificent, loving God. You are leaning and trusting the God of the Universe. So do not be afraid, nor be discouraged, God is greater than our fears, than in the unknowns and His thoughts are above ours. Look up in the skies, look how vast it is, the countless stars, it is our father who made it. Delight in it, be joyful that He is our refuge.
