Let’s read aloud the following words of God:
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Lord touches our hearts that groan and struggle in pain. We started a new year with hope and wished for change in our lives. However, Satan persistently torments us with past failures and wounds and says to calculate and quibble over things that happened. Satan draws us to the spirit of vanity and despair, and there is no way out.
Our hearts long to be rescued. We yearn for a new heaven and new earth. One may ask, “Will you be changed if you move to the stars?” The human heart hardly changes even if the location and the place we live in and the people we dwell with do. Will newness come to you while your inner heart remains the same?
Let’s open our hearts and pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to come to us. “Please, come into my heart, Lord. Once again, Lord, we want to be rebuilt in Christ in a new year.”
As the Lord said in Mark 13:24-25, pray that our old thoughts and worldview can be broken down. “The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”
Pray for our Lord to rebuild us with new thoughts, new ideas, and a godly worldview. Let’s invite our Lord Jesus Christ into our heart and meditate on what the Bible says about a New Day.
Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
Romans 13:11-13 NKJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1 NKJV
So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12 NKJV
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2 NKJV
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
Ezekiel 36:25-27 NKJV
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16 NKJV
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:20 NKJV
