Christians are known to be gentle and forgiving, and sometimes other people abuse them for their goodness. Under these circumstances, what can the child of God do? What does the word of God say?
Being taken advantage of, bullied or abused is not new in the life of a Christian. The Bible showcases the life of our Savior, Creator of heaven and earth, brought low into this world, abused and despised by His oppressors, and yet He opened not His mouth to defend Himself.
When Jesus did open His mouth, it was for forgiveness. He already forgave His tormentors and asked His Father not to put these sins to their charge. As followers of Christ, we are expected to do the same. It is indeed difficult, but we have to reciprocate the evil they do unto us with goodness. It is the only way we can differentiate ourselves as children of God.
