Money is one of the ways God blesses His people. It is often the result of hard work or a business venture. If used properly, it can be powerful tool to help other people, and support the ministry of the Lord in the local church.
However, there is also a warning about finances. The Apostle Paul warns Timothy that the love of money is the root of all evil. Money is not wrong in itself, but when someone begins to love money, then that’s where the problem arises.
The Scripture teaches how not to love money – to become a good steward. As Christians, we should always recognize the fact that whatever things we possess, these are all for an intended purpose by God. If we always channel these financial blessings to other people or the ministries in the church, more people will evade the temptation to love money.
