The Bible talks about different human relationships – between siblings, parents and their children, and even brethren sharing the same faith. However, there are also a number of notable friendships that are sure to inspire.
One of the deepest and most popular friendships portrayed in the Scriptures is that of David and Jonathan. Despite being Jonathan’s father’s enemy, David remained loyal to his friend, even until his death. Such stories only show that God treasures and promotes good friendships, as long as these won’t lead us away from Him.
Bad friendships and getting in the wrong company are not a good idea for someone who wants to follow God. A good friend loves at all times, and not just in certain situations. That is how we can determine a true friend from a fake.
