Personal development, self care and self love are some of the perspectives that are gaining popularity nowadays. Experts claim that in a fast-paced world, individuals sometimes need to take their time and give time and effort for themselves. Doing this would prevent them from losing themselves in a goal-oriented society.
But what does the Bible teach? While having self worth is a good thing, it should come from the right source. Otherwise, it would only make things worse. Our self worth should not be based on how we pamper ourselves, the clothes we wear, or the possessions we have. Our worth should be traced back to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Even at times when we feel alone and unloved, we can always go back to the Cross of Calvary where Jesus gave His life. Our worth is in Christ, and as long as we remember that, we’ll be okay.
