Holiness is one of the most evaded topics for any individual because it is a difficult concept to fully understand. However, the Bible explains this to its readers who want to be right with God. But first, it is important to note that there are two types of holiness.
The first one is positional holiness. This pertains to an individual’s overall standing before God. This kind of holiness can only be granted to him if he places his faith on the saving work of Christ on the cross.
The second one is practical holiness. Upon receiving salvation and the gift of eternal life, a saved person is expected to be holy as God is holy. This means, he would be empowered by the Spirit to live a holy and surrendered life to His Lord and Savior.
