In a world full of pride, lust, and worldliness, getting our feelings hurt is not a question of if, but a question of when. As a Christian, the percentage of getting hurt multiplies if you try to live a godly life and share the gospel with people you love. So what does the Bible say about it?
The Scriptures have plenty of examples of characters getting hurt by other people. Some responded wrongfully, while others followed God’s pattern of meekness and forgiveness. Because no one can control what situations and people do unto us, what we should control is our response to them.
The Bible contains lots of treasures and precious words of encouragement, not to avenge the hurt, but to soothe and heal it. God wants us to take all our burdens and hurts to Him, so He can grant us peace and rest.
