God’s words are inspired – this truth is clearly stated in many parts of Scripture. This simply means that when Bible writers wrote sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph of the word of God, they did not do it in their accord, neither used their own power and wisdom. They were simply moved or inspired by the Holy Spirit.
It is important to note that the teaching about inspiration refutes many views against the Bible. People who say the Bible is simply a manmade creation will see that the ideas, promises and prophecies in it are all divinely inspired.
So what does this mean for us? It means as mere humans, we should always rely on God’s word, and believe with all our hearts that it is His message for us.
