There are many valiant and courageous men in the Bible, but most of them were not strong enough to defeat their enemies on their own. They needed God’s strength and power to give them the victory over a powerful enemy.
While there were naturally powerful and skilled men in the Bible, the word of God generally teaches that it is through God that one can be victorious. That is why we should not rely on our strength, but the strength that God provides.
The Apostle Paul speaks of this when he said he is weak, but it is God who gives him the victory despite this weakness. How does this happen? God is all powerful and nothing is too difficult for Him. What we must do is trust Him in situations where there seems to be no other option.
