The Bible says that man’s heart is always geared towards destruction, wickedness and ungratefulness. The Scriptures teaches that someone who has trusted Christ as his only Savior has been born again, allowing his heart to start anew.
One of the first things a new believer should learn is to be thankful. Having a sense of gratitude goes a long way, because the person who practices it focuses on the things he has, not on the things he does not. This perspective is important for a Christian to be contented and happy in this world.
The word of God is clear when it says to be thankful in everything, because it is the will of God. It does not say that we should be grateful only for the good things, but also for the bad. Why? Thanking God for the bad things means we trust Him in whatever situation we are in.
