Why some fall away.

Good day beautiful people,

It’s been a while but I hope that this post meets all readers well and strong in faith! I do pray that no matter the circumstance you find yourself in that the joy of The Lord will continue to strengthen you. Don’t allow the devil to steal your joy, resist him and refuse to give into his evil tactics. Don’t throw in the towel look to God and ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you, pray that God will open your eyes to see all the beautiful blessings He has placed around you. Today’s write up has been inspired by the passage Hebrews 6:11-12.

Hebrews 6:11-12 ~ “Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.”

The words mentioned in the above passage really struck a chord within my heart. Never would I have thought that a way in which an individual can become spiritually dull would be through no longer caring for others. When one is extremely self-centred it’s easy to become unconcerned about the things of God’s kingdom. When we stop investing in the lives of others and we no longer have a genuine love for them we can easily fall away. A self absorbed person is highly likely to lose interest in the things of God because God has called us to serve. When a person thinks only about themselves, it is easy for them to fall into the trap of self pity. It becomes all about themselves and not about God or others.

When you are self obsessed you forget about the plight of others, you become blinded to the suffering of those around you and forget that others face challenges too!

A suggestion to combat self pity would be to help others. In your prayers remember those who are facing similar challenges to you, and if you feel led to by the Holy Spirit organise a prayer/fellowship group where you can spend time encouraging other Christians. Maximise your time well by volunteering and looking to God rather than looking within and focusing on your problems.

Philippians 2:1-5 “Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”

Finally as believers we’re called to live like Christ and Christ came to earth to serve and not be served.

Mark 10:45 ~ “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

God bless, stay safe and have a glorious week.

1 Peter 4:10-11 ~ “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit. View more posts
